Advanced cardiovascular testing is essential to providing the most accurate and complete diagnosis of your heart-related condition. Dr. Ramin Manshadi is a multiple-board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist in Stockton, California who offers a multitude of state-of-the-art diagnostic exams to diagnose and assess a whole host of heart disease problems.

Dr. Manshadi was the first heart specialist in and around Stockton to offer microvolt T-wave alternans (MTWA) and is one of the few who offer cardiovascular profiling (CVP) and BioZ® impedance cardiography. These innovative exams are noninvasive and performed right in the office, allowing the ultimate in comfort and convenience. In addition to MTWA, CVP and BioZ, Dr. Manshadi offers routine exams such as echocardiography, treadmill stress tests, ankle-brachial index tests (ABI) and electrocardiogram tests (ECG or EKG).

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR surgery) or transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI surgery)

Dr. Manshadi also had one of the first patients in the area to receive a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), also referred to as transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). This procedure is for people who have been diagnosed with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis and are at intermediate or greater risk for open heart surgery. 

Nuclear stress tests.

Dr. Manshadi may recommend a nuclear stress test to establish a baseline if you have a cardiac risk factor such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or a family history of coronary artery disease. With a nuclear stress test, a radioactive “tracer” is injected into your bloodstream and a special scanner shows how well blood flows to the heart muscle. If a portion of the heart muscle isn’t receiving a normal amount of blood supply, a deficiency of tracer activity in that area will appear on the images. A nuclear stress test is usually done in conjunction with an exercise stress test but can also be performed using medications that simulate the effects of exercise on the heart. Dr. Manshadi is licensed and certified in nuclear medicine, and all nuclear stress tests are performed at a facility located just five blocks from his office.
